MEET DR. WHAN IM
Dr. Whan Im was raised in Houston, Texas, and attended University of Texas at M.D. Anderson in the medical center. He then graduated from Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, California, with a Doctorate of Dental Medicine. Dr. Im has taken numerous courses in implantology and restorative and cosmetic dentistry.
He loves meeting new patients, developing relationships and educating them of their dental needs. He strongly believes that educating patients of dental health will help them to make a positive impact of their oral health leading to a long-term, beautiful and healthier smile!
During his free time he enjoys playing basketball, going to the gym, and watching sports, especially the Houston Rockets and the Texans. He is an active member of American Dental Association, the Texas Dental Association and the Greater Houston Dental Society.
MEET DR. BARRY GOMEL
A native of Houston, Texas, Dr. Barry Gomel attended the University of Texas, Austin where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and graduated Cum Laude. He soon realized that his true passion was dentistry and began pursuing his dream at the University of Texas School of Dentistry at Houston.
He spent several years as an associate dentist for South Texas Dental where he expanded his responsibilities to become part of their management team. His entrepreneurial spirit soon took flight and led him to open University Oaks Dental. His mission is simple: treat each patient like family and help them get the smile they’ve always wanted in a caring, honest ,and comfortable environment.
He is proud to be a member of the Greater Houston Dental Society, Texas Dental Association, and American Dental Association. In his free time, Dr. Gomel enjoys jogging, swimming, traveling, and spending time with his family.
